Here are our most frequent questions regarding our customized engraved products and our services:

Where are you located and how long have you been in business?
- We are located in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and have been in business since 2022.

Are you really owned by law enforcement personnel?
- Yes, the owner has been in law enforcement for almost 30 years and is still on the job.

How did Blue Line Custom Gifts start?
- Blue Line Custom Gifts started as a hobby with the main objective of making memorial plaques for fallen first responders to be given to their families at no cost. As our expenses grew, we decided to start offering engraved customized items to assist with this endeavor and to help cover the cost of making the plaques and shipping them out.

So you send memorial plaques to the families of first responders killed in the line of duty?
- We sure do. We call this program "Plaques for Heroes" and we send plaques to the families of officers, firefighters and paramedics/EMT who have been killed in the line of duty. The plaques typically include an image of the fallen hero, badge, patch, name, department name, and EOW date. At times, we may include memorial bands or challenge coins, or send an additional plaque to the department. Unfortunately, with the amount of first responders that are killed every year, we are not able to send plaques to the families of each one, but we send out as many as we can.

Do I need to send you an image of my badge/patch if I want it engraved on an item?
- Yes, as each department has their own, you will need to upload a photo or image of the badge/patch and we will design the engraving as detailed as possible. There is an upload link on each product page that has the engraving option, or you can send the photo via email to troy@bluelinecustomgifts.com.

What if I want to add text such as a name, department name, or a quote?
- On the items that can be personalized, there is a box in which you can add your desired text. Or if you wish, you can email that as well to troy@bluelinecustomgifts.com

Will I get a mock-up to make sure the design is how I want it?
- Absolutely, just make sure you add your email address when ordering. Once the design is done, we will email you a mockup for approval before we start the engraving process. The only items we do not send mockups for are the 3D engraved crystals.

How long does it take to receive my personalized engraved item?
- It depends on the item and the amount of engraving that is required. Typically we are able to send mockups within a couple of days. As long as we receive a response quickly, we can have the items shipped within 7-10 days on average after the initial order is placed.

Can I return my item if I don't like it?
- Unfortunately since we are working with personalized custom items, we do not except returns. If the item is damaged during transit, we will replace it for free. All we ask is that you send us a photo of the damage so we can submit an insurance claim with the carrier. Since we send mockups, we also ask that you check for spelling errors. If the mockup is approved and you later find a spelling error, the item(s) can not be returned. So please double check the mockups to make sure it's exactly how you want it.

I don't see what I'm looking for on your site? Can I request something that is not on your site?
- Absolutely. There are a lot of customized items that we do that are not on the website. One of our more popular items that we do are baseball caps and we don't have these on the site. Due to the amount of colors available, we just don't include them. What's the best way to reach you?
- We prefer by email (troy@bluelinecustomgifts.com) but you can call as well (952-292-8160). Since we are still working in law enforcement, we work odd hours and sometimes very long hours, so we may not always answer the phone. If you call and there is no answer, please leave a message and a return call will be made as soon as possible.
