At approximately 11:00 p.m. on October 10, 2026, Homicide Agent Kevin Morris of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office was en route to the scene of an officer-involved shooting when he was involved in an automobile crash.
Another driver had been traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on Interstate 95 in Titusville, Florida. Both vehicles burst into flames, and Agent Morris died at the scene.
