Plaques for Heroes — nobody should be forgotten at end of watch
When a first responder or service member is killed in the line of duty, we engrave a custom memorial plaque and send it — at no cost — to the family and to the department they served. It is not a product, it is not a promotion. It is our way of making sure a name stays where it belongs: in front of the people who loved them.
Never a cost to the family
Materials, engraving, and shipping are covered by our shop and funded by everyday orders. There is no fundraiser, no invoice, and no obligation.
Run by one of your own
Blue Line Custom Gifts is owned and operated by a full-time law enforcement officer. We know what end of watch means inside a department.
Family and department both
Grief lives in two places — the home and the station. Both receive a piece so the sacrifice is remembered in both.
Why we started
It began with one plaque and one family
Our shop was built around respect for the people who wear the badge, the turnout gear, and the uniform. After a fallen officer's memorial piece was engraved for a department, the response from the family made something clear: a tribute that arrives unasked, with the seal right and the name right, carries a weight that words cannot.
Since then Plaques for Heroes has sent memorial plaques across the country — for officers, deputies, troopers, firefighters, paramedics, corrections officers, police K9s, and service members. Every plaque is engraved the same way we would want ours engraved.
The mission is funded by ordinary orders. When you buy a tumbler, a retirement award, a team plaque, or a corporate gift from us, part of that order pays for slate, engraving time, and postage for the next family.
How it works
From end of watch to the wall

We learn of a line-of-duty death
We follow line-of-duty reports daily — police, sheriff, state patrol, corrections, fire, EMS, K9, and military. No family has to ask to be included.

We research and design the tribute
The department seal or patch, the portrait, rank, badge number, and end-of-watch date are laid out by hand and proofed until every detail is correct.

The plaques are engraved in our shop
Engraved or full color printed on natural slate — a material that holds its detail for a lifetime. Memorial bracelets are often included.
04
They ship at no cost
One plaque goes to the immediate family, one to the department so the name stays on the wall where they served. The family is never billed, never solicited.
