On September 9, 2026, Deputy Michael Hendricks of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office (South Carolina) was involved in an automobile accident and died.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., Deputy Michael Hendricks was killed in a crash on Ladson Road between Highway 78 and Lincolnville Road. He had been traveling west and collided with a tractor-trailer heading east.
Deputy Hendricks had served with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office for over three years.
