On November 5, 2026, Officer Thomas from the Los Angles Police Department (California) was participating in a dive team training exercise in Huntington Beach, California.
During this training exercise around 11:00 a.m., an incident occurred and Officer Thomas Denton was transported to the Orange Coast Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
Officer Denton had served with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for over 20 years. He was assigned to the Metropolitan Division, LAPD's elite tactical support unit.
